Zamfara State Government, on Sunday, commenced the distribution of food items worth one point N1.8 billion to the less privileged in the state as part of the Ramadan welfare package. Governor of the state, Hon. Mohammed Bello Matawalle, disclosed this during a statewide broadcast from the Government House Gusau, the state capital.   Matawalle said the commodities to be distributed include rice, maize, millet, sugar, cooking oil, eggs and clothing materials.
