Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun, Shattiman Sakkwato, Barden Hausa) has announced the re-opening of selected markets in the state as an acid test to the relief of stringent measures earlier taken by the state Government. The selected markets include the Livestock markets in Gummi, Bagega, Danjibga, Kasuwar Daji, Tsafe, Talata-Mafara and Nasarawar Godel. Governor Matawalle made the announcement today during the swearing in of two Commissioners, 10 Special Advisers, 8 Permanent Secretaries and the newly appointed Auditor-General for the State Government.  Governor Matawalle said the decision to re-open these markets follows the improvement in the security situation in the state in the last one month and the concern of the state Government to the hardship the total closure has inflicted on the local economy  However, Governor Matawalle warned that nobody is allowed to henceforth, take laws into one's hands even in an obvious breach, as Government will no longer take it...

It’s evidently clear that Governor Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun MON, has used all lawful and possible avenues to fix the hitherto rivalry with the aggrieved critical stakeholders of Zamfara APC so as to get everybody accommodated and carried along but their greediness and selfish intentions became a hitch to the idea. We must commend His Excellency for enduring to reconcile with all and hope that Allah would reward him for imitating the Sunnah of His Noble Prophet. Former Governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Abdul Aziz Yari is in deep trouble. According to reports reaching us, we have it on good authority that one of the henchmen of the former governor, is now in the hand of security operatives in connection with some classified documents belonging to the Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF), and money in foreign currency recovered from him upon routine search. The henchman whose name was withheld for security reason was intercepted on a tip off while traveling from Talata Mafara to Abuja where he was expected to deliver the documents. Former Governor of Zamfara state, Yari is still battling to cleanse himself of the mud which he rubbed himself when he dabbled into the coffers of Zamfara state when he was the sitting governor of the state. During his political reign in  the state as the Chief Executive Officer, allegations of misappropriation and outright looting of the state funds was more or less the other of the day.
