President Buhari aborted visit to Zamfara State was to sympathize with the people Not to commission projects_ Garba Shehu.


The Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and publicity Malam Garba Shehu, has once again clear the air about the aborted visit of  President Muhammadu Buhari to Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, to sympathize with Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle and the good people of Zamfara State over the recent bandits attacks to the innocent people of the State.
Shehu said, “Mr President decided on his own to visit Sokoto and Zamfara State to console with the government of the mentioned states over the recent bandits attack to the innocent people and not to commission projects”.
The presidency will find a convenient weather friendly time from now to till when its okay to come to Zamfara for same condolence visit but not to Commission any project.” Garba Shehu assured.
Remembered, days ago an untrue story went vital that the President aborted his trip to the gold-rich state because of negative security reports from the state.

The West African Examination council (WAEC) and it's Counterpart National Examination council (NECO ) has jointly denied the received of any outstanding debts from the Zamfara State government for the release of it's Students National Examination council (NECO) from 2024 to 2018 and West African Examination council (WAEC) from 2018 to 2022 as  claimed last week by His Excellency governor Dauda Lawal to mark his two years in office. Legal battles surrounding the Zamfara elections: Governor Dauda accuses INEC and the PDP of being responsible for his difficulties. The beleaguered governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal Dare, blamed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Democratic Party (PDP) over the weekend for his political ordeal, despite the fact that the INEC was fully aware that the use of the IReV (INEC Result Viewing Portal), which it had introduced, did not and could not come close to complying with the Electrical Act's legal requirements.
