Gov. Matawalle Meets Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.



Zamfara state Governor His Excellency Hon. Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, MON, met with former British Prime Minister Sir. Tony Blair and founder of the Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) to discuss areas of collaboration on governance, peace and economic sustainability with Zamfara State in mind.

The meeting gave Governor Matawalle the opportunity to rub minds with Sir Tony Blair on ways of empowering and uplifting his people.

The Governor had in the last weeks been on international networking and investment drive for Zamfara State. A mission that has enabled him to meet with global international figures in places like the United Nations in New York and other such places in his desire to grow the economy of Zamfara State.

Legal battles surrounding the Zamfara elections: Governor Dauda accuses INEC and the PDP of being responsible for his difficulties. The beleaguered governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal Dare, blamed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Democratic Party (PDP) over the weekend for his political ordeal, despite the fact that the INEC was fully aware that the use of the IReV (INEC Result Viewing Portal), which it had introduced, did not and could not come close to complying with the Electrical Act's legal requirements. “₦30” BILLION FG INTERVENTION AND THE EMPTY ZAMFARA MARKETS.

Not long ago, in the wake of food and economic crisis in Nigeria, a startling announcement came through the Senate chambers of the National Assembly. The Senate President Godswill Akpabio revealed that the Federal Government of Nigeria had disbursed ₦30 billion to each state Governor, which was outside of their regular statutory allocation. The purpose of the disbursement is to tackle the worsening issue of food supply. Despite the Federal Government’s efforts, the Zamfara state markets remain empty, food prices continue to soar, and the people of the state are left asking “Where did the Zamfara  money go”? This revelation is not just a fiscal footnote but a wake-up call to ask Zamfara Governor where is the ₦30 billion per state since it  is not a small amount.
